Dobray den, kahk delah?... My Russian ability is basic but my enthusiasm makes up for it, and am not afraid to laugh at my mistakes! I'm very outgoing, fun-loving,with a great sense of humour and a very positive outlook on life. I neither look nor feel 44 at all;(I still have all of my teeth and most of my hair!) I swim and work-out at the gym regularly, as well as ski-ing,long-distance running and tennis. I'm a non-drinker, and quit smoking last year. I speak five languages (izvenityeh...Russian is my worst), was born in Scotland and lived many years in South Africa before settling in Canada. My passion is foreign travel (but "off the beaten path")and I've been on every continent except South America. Although my work as an architect involves technical drawing, I also enjoy art as leisure:painting, life-drawing, sculpture and especially woodworking. I am learning to play the piano, as well as to master my computer (which sometimes feels mutually exclusive.) Another passion is renovating very old houses, which can be much like seeing a beautiful rose emerge from a pile of broken thorns. I enjoy cooking spicy African dishes, and always ensure my guests have a liter of cold water to put out the fire once they taste my concoctions! To me, my design work is very rewarding and more important than money. Nonetheless,I enjoy a very comfortable life, but I am NOT a wealthy man. If wealth is what you seek, that is not what you will find here. My two young children live very happily in USA with my ex-wife/their mother, (520 km to the south,) and I see them once per month or so. On previous business trips to Russia, I was astounded by the Russian women I met;in terms of their character,strong family values, culture,high education, sincerity and especially feminine beauty.
